more images of our lazy, over

cast, comfy cozy, wash all the bedding day...

Man the hall way is really cranky today...(as Devin would say)

Daddy-yo came home, trying to figure out what exactly happened during out day...
bedding dragged all over the house.
Windows open (to smell the rain)
Naomi wearing her "yacket" to keep warm.

Today: We finally all got out of our jamma's at noon. Just before lunch. After lunch Nay and I had to change again... typical.
Cache is sick so he needs an icepack for everything and ended up watching a lot of t.v.
At lunch he told me that "Cymbalta Helps." Cybalta is what he needs for a fever.
Then he gave me the weather report. It is going to rain tomorrow during the Bronco's game. He wanted to tell me that because he knows I like rain.
Whoops. Okay no more t.v.
I actually did wonder when and if it was going to rain.

Naomi some how got a  gallon of apple cider out of the fridge, hauled it to our room and dumped it all over our bed.  Where was I? Our house is only so big.  Good thing I washed our sheets on Saturday. Our bedding is so big it will take all of today to get it through the wash.

As for this little man:

I'm blaming you for everything baby.
If you weren't so snuggly and warm, I would get more sleep at night instead of staying up a little longer each feeding just to snuggle your sweet sleepy face. And instead of cuddling you all morning long we could of gotten dressed before noon, and I probably wouldn't be washing cider soaked Duvet right now... Over cast fall days like this with a baby to snuggle is just too much of a temptation to not do much else but hold you, smell you and stare at your face.
I know I will miss this time in life after it passes.
I want to soak up every minute.
I don't want to miss a moment.
Even the crazy ones like today.
I consider today a perfect day.

It's just one continuous party around here...

I turned 28 on the 28th

It was a really good day.
Baby Gage and I slept in till 10:30. (If you don't count getting up at 2:30, 5:00 and 8:30)
Gage also turned ONE week old on my birthday.
My mom showed up after lunch with Cache and Nay who had been playing in Oregon for almost a week.
Oh we missed them.

We decided to ORDER in salads from Cafe rio AND cheesecake factory.
That way I could taste salads from both my favorite places.
yummm.

We were so glad that we ordered IN instead of going out.
During dinner the baby demanded feeding, Nay needed changing,
and fell off the bench.
Food was everywhere, (Naomi and me).
It was a circus.
But who wants a boring party?

Devin is a good party thrower.
He is the sweetest man.
and goofiest.

Several hours later after everyone was finally finished eating
I got to open gifts that Devin and I went shopping for the night before.
All alone. (all alone plus baby)  We stayed out till the stores closed, just roaming, trying on
weird clothes texting pictures of them to Ben and Sarah and picking out new red kitchen knives and new red tupperware.

My first real tupperware that didn't use to live as a yogurt container or that someone
left at our house! ha.

Shopping that night reminded me of the first 3 years of our marriage... just me, Devin
and Cache.  We took him everywhere from his earliest days.
Those were some sweet days.
We never were home for bedtime.
it was our first one and we were 22... we didn't know babies had bedtimes.
Cache was always happy as a jay lark.
He never got cranky now matter how late it was.

Now we are always home by 7 or before or we are asking for trouble.

** A girl from Devin's work made my birthday cake. **
I loooved it! I've never even met her.
Isn't it perty?

Now we are getting ready for Haalooweeeen then Cache's b-day and Devin's birthday,
6yr anniversary and Holidays just get more exciting from there...

I might get depressed after New years is over.
Or hopefully by then I'll be all partied out.

Mom, Ben and Cindy sue,
This is what is happening in Boise today:

Sammy did awesome.

We got to see Bryson and Braylie AND Sammy run.
Lucky US!  (My bro and two cousins)
They all did so good. Bryson I'm pretty sure placed in the top 10
at least. He was a little bullet. So fun.

And baby Gus ;) is starting to wake up and look around.
Devin has already nicknamed him and I haven't even called him
 by his first name yet.

 That's all.
love you guys.

I've mentioned before that I think
I was born with a sign stuck to my back that says : "I love surprises."
And here is our latest surprise:
3 weeks early
.

{Gage Devin Orton }

Or at least that is what everyone is calling him.
I wasn't planning on this decision for anther month...
But he is here. And it sounds so weird coming out of my mouth,
but he already feels SO a part of us.
Already feels like he is ours.
It was an instant thing with this little guy.

He was born yesterday morning just before 9am.
Totally unexpected.
7lbs 10 oz.
I'll tell you the story later.
Nothing too exciting but I always love to hear other birth stories.
Later.
For now here is his sweet face.

He is very sleepy all the time. Nothing like his siblings.

Take note: Key to having cute babies.
Marry  someone with a face like this ;)

We are home and happy!

Okay Missouri gals, who's next?
I was suppose to be 4th or 5th....ended 1st or 2nd?
Good luck. You're gonna need it. :)
Child birth is phew,
crazy crrrrrrazy hard.

How did I forget that?

OH i know...

because most hard things...

are worth it.

good luck girls

I uuh toooo!

Dear Naomi,
I absolutely love you. I love being your mom. It is a privilege to be able to raise you.  You are so beautiful. I want to be a better person because you are my daughter. I want to be more of the person that you can look up to, and the woman that I hope you will be someday.  You are a gift. You are my gift.
Happy Birthday! You are TWO!

For your birthday Dad stayed up till 3am putting together your new play kitchen.
Mom was sewing you a duvet cover and swearing like a sailor through every stitch.  But you don't know that.
I will not sew your wedding or prom dress. So don't ask.
You love doggies so much so,we took you to pet smart on your birthday to look at the puppies, then out to I-hop to eat blueberry pancakes (and because kids eat free) but you also don't know that.
YOu made a MESS. Just like always.

Dad let you open another gift that night. Play food to go with your kitchen.
You and Cache played forever with the kitchen and food next morning.
I even got to shower while you guys played.
Here you are above showing us how old you are with your two fingers.
Oh we SO do love you.

One of you favorite gifts are your cards.
You carry them around, like to put them on the fireplace and tell everyone
that the card is "my bertday gorl."
This makes me very happy.

We saved your cake for the next day when Uncle Sam and Grandma Colette
came to town. I made you a dog food cake.
Grandma used the left overs to whip out a puppy cake.

Cousin Krista brought you "puppy ears"
to wear at your puppy party.

You had a surprise visitor: "Cousin Grandma"(grandma Orton) popped into town right
when the party started!
What a lucky "Bertday gorl" you are to have BOTH grandma's at your party!

You and Cache are everything to us.
We love you.

H a p p y B i r t h d a y !

Important Event

We left our two little ones to play in the country with Gram and Gramps,
Uncle Sam (who has the coolest star war toys)
And Cousin Claire who was visiting from Mesa.
Aaand a few other people in the house too.
And Devin and I headed off to St. Louis so he could

!!!~GRADUATE~!!!

As much as Devin and I crrrave alone time, you never would
know it, if you would have seen me crying all the way to Hermiston.

But this post is not about me.
It's about:

(being hooded by the president above}

Just a few of Devin's awesome friends, that made his 3 plus years bearable.
Such great guys (who all had awesome wives!)
Aaaaw.
They really are great boys, guys I guess I mean men.
Can you have your doctorate and still be just a boy or just a guy?

Lori and Dan and Drake.
Came to graduation just to see me. Well and the food.
One of those families I'de put in my "dream team town."
You know if you could ever really just create your own town.
You don't make a list like that in your head?
wierd.
Thanks for all the advice etc. Lori and Dan.
HEY, I didn't get to say goodbye...
Funnest girl ever.

Now a little letter.

Dear Devin,

You took my cell phone on accident to work today.
You probably did it automatically because you're so use to be my
second hand and mind.

but back to graduation,
Sorry my camera went on the fritz RIGHT when you went on stage thus the reason I have a million clear pictures of the bagpipe players and only two blurry ones of you.
I don't love bagpipes.
Or kilts.
Maybe if you wore a kilt... anyway.

Sorry I didn't cheer when you went on stage, as I was trying to video and take
pictures at the same time AND since no one would let the giant pregnant lady have one of the reserved seats for pictures I had to elbow my way in to even see your face then awkwardly squat in heels (ever tried that?) all the while both cameras kept shutting off.

Sorry I didn't bring an air horn like the other fans of graduates.
You deserved an air horn.

Sorry that after one year on honor roll, red badge and all those other awards they gave out, I quickly put an end to all the "extras that won't matter."  I really am sorry.  Instead you came home for dinner and helped rock crying babies in the night, and put on super hero birthday parties and let me go to young women's and MADE dinner most nights and quit your soccer team to coach Cache's soccer teams and on and on.
You deserve a plaque. Probably the biggest one they make.
I deserve a swift kick in the pants.

Sorry we saw Trevor at graduation meaning you have to go back in December to
receive your Master's degree...

Sorry I won't be going with you.

Sorry I had to drink so much 7-up AND your ginger ale on the air plane to keep from throwing up.
Sorry all that sugar I'm not use to made me all swollen and looking like a goober in these pictures. I should've taken all of them with just you. You looked so handsome.  Even if you didn't like the robes and hood.  I did.

Sorry I made you stare at the sun until I had my fill of self timer pictures, where you weren't squinting and I looked descent. Your still squinting Devin.

Enough with the sorry's I am so stinkin proud of you and all you accomplished. You know a better word than proud? Impressed. I'm seriously impressed by you Devin. How you did and continue to do it all with the attitude that you have.  I know I'm not the only one that has made this observation.  Sometimes you seem super human, and I am truly impressed even astonished by you. I am so lucky and I promise you I don't forget it. You're da best!

Good Job Devin.

{To our mom's and dad's: you can click on any of these pictures,
they will open into a new page and be much bigger. THEN save them to your computer. I think.
I have ones of JUST Devin too if you would like.}

We're back from all our travels(St. Louis and the Oregon Coast) and I refuse to go anywhere in a car more than 5 minutes long for the next 3 months.
I'm on orders to take a nap every day...
Not too hard.
I'm pooped.
So if anyone wants to find me.  I'm here in my home. In my "comfy cozies"(according to Cache)
Cleaning, cleaning... I'm one of those nesters for sure. Instead of 9 months though, this babe is getting ONE. And so the life trend of the 3rd child begins.
I'm wishing that I could order in all groceries.
Maybe the Schwann man?
Pictures to come of Devin's graduation. I'm so proud of him.

But before I forget to record:

Cache's daily funnies (funny to me at least)
We just finished a quiet bowl of tomato soup. Quiet because Naomi is napping, and lets face it, she is the source of most chaos in this house.
So we aren't saying much.  Until...

Cache: "Mom do you know what it's called when the Whale shakes around a lot like dis?" (shaking his hand up and down.)
Me: "What whale?"
Cache:" Dus a whale dat Shakes up and down like dis."
Me: "hmmm I have no idea."
Cache: "Oh I know what it's called.  It's just called indigestion."
:) caught me off guard.

Before lunch we went to my now weekly doc appt. for this pregnancy of mine.In the car Cache always insists on me finding the "Chinese station."

I've had no idea what he was talking about until today I paused on the Mexican station.
Cache: "Yesss. I love when you play the Chinese station!"
I corrected him, telling him that it was the Mexican station. And he accepted it.
We finished listening to that song and then when the next song came on he yells again:
"Now THIS is a good Chinese song."
Me: "You mean Mexican song."
Cache: "Noooo mom this is definitely a Chinese song."
Then looking out the window he  kinda sighs: "I love Chinese songs."

I. love. Cache.
I'm excited to have another boy.

Well just one picture because posts are no fun with out pics and because it's the only
picture that doesn't need editing.

I would now love a sound machines that has waves.
Then I could go to sleep thinking of this place every night.
That would be wonderful.
