Graduation party. Best milkshakes EVER.
Spontaneous trip to the Veteran's cemetery with friends.
Marsha brought flower for all the kids to put on headstones without any flowers.
It was touching and meaningful, a gorgeous warm night and totally a new tradition for our family.

As I've grown up, I am starting to enjoy Memorial Day more and more. My father-in-law manages a cemetery and we place flags at the headstones the Friday before Memorial Day. Then on the actual day, they have a wonderful ceremony where a few prayers are said and taps is played. It is so touching. Your day looks like a lot of fun.
That's a wonderful tradition to begin with your kids!
We always go to the cemetery here and it is always an experience.
