We Miss Asheee

We had such a great week with Ashley visiting! More than any of us I think Cache enjoyed her the very most. Ashley and Cache shared a bedroom for the week. Cache loved waking up to Ashley laying in the spare bed, and every morning since Ash left, when I go to get Cache from his crib, he always looks around and asks: "Ashee?" I'm sure Ash misses getting woke up bright and early every morning by a two year old shooting her with his pistol from between the bars on his crib! Thanks for visiting Ashley, We love you!

Something New

(Just in case you're wondering, we are wearing Party hats because Cache found them in one of the boxes we moved to the new house and insisted that we wear them.. Now looking back they were more appropriate for these pictures than I realized at the time! Happy Birthday New Orton family House!

Snapshots of Easter in our little aparment

Cache got a little tie in his Easter basket. We almost skipped all Easter pictures because of all the snow! But I decided to snap a few before we ran out the door for church. I'm glad I did. I will retake more of Cache with Devin also in his new tie when the sun and flowers come out. I love my two handsome boys, but here is the smaller of the two.

This was our little Easter dinner that we were so proud of. We have two cooks in this house, so Devin and I argued a little over who's recipe to use, we settled on going our seperate ways. Devin did the Devil eggs and set the table and I did the mash potatoes and rolls and the meat did itself.(We used cindy's recipe). We picked up Ashley from the airport just before dinner! So we had several reasons to celebrate.

This Post is For Cindy

Want some Cindy? I wait all year for this Candy to come out at Easter. We are on our second bag already. I ask Devin to hide them from me before we go to bed each night so I can't snack on them all the next day and believe me I look for them every day when he's at school. Then after Cache goes to sleep at night, Devin gets them out and we enjoy. They are so GOOD!

I tried to do a side by side, but this was as close as I could get. These two cousins have kindred spirits or maybe they are both just TWO years old. But the same day Cindy posted this picture of Claire, I had already taken this picture of Cache that same day.(He is sitting in time out and doesn't even care.) I tried to not laugh, but failed and now he thinks its super funny to find my make up.. oh boy.

This is Amelie. I thought I would add a picture of her at the end to show you guys the little girl I babysit everyday, except the weekends. She is a red head and pretty happy and easy. I started watching her when she was about a month old and she is now 7 months old. Pretty fun.

Today I went to the Temple

Isn't the St. Louis Temple beautiful? When Devin and I lived in Utah, we often would make the comment, "We need to take advantage of temples being so close, because we never will be able to be so close to a temple again."

To our surprise when we moved to St. Louis, we now live even CLOSER to the temple than in Orem. Crazy? yes i think so, but so awesome. A blessing of living in the latter days and temples spotting the earth. So I got to go today. Devin and I switched off and he is there now. I came to a sparkling clean house...Devin is so good to me, it humbles me to the ground when I think about getting to be married to such a person. Well today there were more people in the temple than there were seats in the session, so when I got turned away, just like 20 others, I was the only one that started crying! I was so embarrassed. I'm not even sure why I was crying. This pregnancy I am just constantly crying. Well the temple worker saw me racing back to my locker to change (and hide my tears) and well long story short..they let me in.

I felt so dumb, but that really was the only session I could make that day or I was going to faint of hunger(literally), so I went in feeling dumb but grateful. Then I came home and the house was clean and smelling like lemon house cleaner(my favorite) and I started crying again.

Then I checked out the new church website and cried the whole time. Oh man. You'de think I would run out of tears, or kleenex! Pregnancy is so fun.

Sunny Day!

St. Louis is CRaaazee. When it comes to weather at least. Today it hit 78 degrees and snow and winter weather warning is predicted for the rest of the week. Yesterday, was really nice too. I went outside to go to the gym, but when I felt the warmth I ran back inside and said "We're going to the Lake!" This lake has become my place of refuge..(I have to have at least one everywhere I live)..It's calm and beautiful and I can breath deeper here. This is also the lake that I took rowing lessons on and I just can't get enough of it's beauty. No motorized boats are allowed here even though it's a massive lake. I love this place. (The pictures of me and Cache I'm bending over to help Cache with my cellphone. He was wishing my mom Happy Birthday.) Happy Birthday MOM! Love you.

I don't know if you Can tell, but this bird looks like it's standing on water.. There was just a little layer of ice that water was flowing ontop of, so the seagulls were all walking around thinking they were so cool walking on water..pfft. Can't fool me.

We needed to come home so Devin could study, but there was no keeping Cache or I out of that beautiful weather.. especially when we new snow was coming. So we walked to the park smelling BBQ's happening the whole way...
