This is a tag Ashley Green tagged me with BEFORE Christmas. I filled it out and for some reason I didn't post it. I looked through my posts today and found it. So keep in mind it was filled out couple months ago... I decided to re post it. Enjoy and do it! I love reading these things.
  • I am. a country kid
  • I want to be healthy
  • I have to fold laundry and pack for our trip home
  • I wish I didn't die my hair black
  • I hate Clutter!
  • I fear that someone will hurt my children...
  • I hear Cache singing "in ex chelseas day ay OH" (angels we have heard on high)as he raids the fridge looking for yogurt that i said he couldn't have until supper.
  • I search for a binkie or burp rag all day. they are always gone.
  • I wonder how babies KNOW when you sit down vs. standing up.
  • I always see pictures .. like all day long, think. that would be the best picture if only i could blink my eyes and take a picture like that. i've even caught myself tilting my head to see the better picture.. sometimes this worries me that i do this..
  • I’m usually a people person who loves company.
  • I’m not happy unless i work out
  • I dance with cache on a daily basis. usually "rock star dance" which means playing the air guitar and running in circles.
  • I sing primary songs with cache.. through out the day.
  • I never have tasted alcohol
  • I rarely swear unless i am almost in a wreck or something
  • I cry when i think about children in a bad home or homeless
  • I’m not always the most positive person when it comes to Devin's dreams and aspirations. I'm working on it though.
  • I lose my sunglasses every other day. And then I find them in the car, my coat pocket or the diaper bag.
  • I’m confused about omega 3 fatty acids and omega 6 fatty acids. both good, i think, some come in fish, or in flax seed, .. i can't keep it straight. And while we are talking about being confused, the types of dietary fiber, soluble vs. insoluble, both good, but which kind is more important, which comes in cereal vs. oatmeal. vs bean and veggies.. aaah frustrating.. I give up.
  • I need to eat less sugar and prepare my lesson for primary.
  • I should get off the computer
  • I dream about living a simple, clean life in the country, with my family, good friends, a great dane, a couple horses, a cherry tree, hard wood floors, big windows, GIANT garden and an amazing tree house. Front porch swing, and sometimes there is a teepee and warm summer nights the smell of bbq and children laughing, and awesome safe neighbors who will go running with me :) or at least on a nice walk. Oh and there are no mosquitos, I dream about this place a lot. Call me wierd, but i know every detail. It's not a big house, but there is a library :) And devin is trying to fit in a soccer field where my horse pasture is...Everyone is invited to come and stay, and believe me you will want too.. except you your not invited ... I don't know you.. but all the rest of you are. Devin will make you breakfast and I'll um.. make your bed, and good conversation, and feed you candy.
  • I tag Cindy, Cher, MOM, Sara Orton, Sarah Leonard, Ashley Spratling. KK, Zana, Nicole. Do you need something to blog about? Your tagged too. OH yes Natalie, it's been a bit. :-)

Hiding

Photobucket

Cache's face just is so sad. He was trying so hard not to smile and keep crying when I started taking pictures. The couch is Cache's best hiding place. the first time he hid there, I panicked and started looking outside. You can't even tell when he is in there. His weak spot though is he can't help but watch you look for him, so pretty soon, his head will pop up and you'll see his little nose and eyes following you around the room, trying not to laugh. In the first picture, Cache doesn't think I can see him. We always pretend not to be able to find him, this is partly for fun, but also so he will keep hiding here and not try to find a new and better place.

Quote for the Day

This morning Devin came into the bedroom where Naomi, Cache and I were still struggling to wake up, and pulled back the curtains in the bedroom, to show us the new fallen snow and hopefully give us a bit of boost to get out of bed.

Cache rolled over, squinted his eyes a bit trying to look at the bright snow, rubbed his eyes again and through a big yawn said:
"Who snowed?"

I don't know about anyone else but that just hit my funny bone.

Here is our li'l Naomi's 5 month picture. I took this this morning on the way to the gym. Her face is a bit worried because I don't think she liked that hat. The humidity makes it is so cold here that my teeth ACHED on the way to the car. Have you ever been that cold?

shushi = love

I've never taken so many pictures just
for Valentines day, but here's some more:

Well turns out that love pays huge dividends. Mine is in the form of Sushi! Who REALLY wants chocolate for valentines day when you can have California rolls made by Devin ?

Photobucket

we must take pictures when sushi is made. After all it is quite the effort to make them, and they are gone faster than you can say BOBSYOURUNCLE. plus i think they are kinda perdy.
Photobucket

Our ward threw a Valentine's Lua dinner, dance and show.
Photobucket

Amazing food(seriously amazing, Becca tell your husband, everybody was just drooling over his bbq pork skills. Where were you guys?) A great show with Hawaiin dancers and singers, who reminded me of my grrrandma. Then we all boogied down,, good times were had and many good outfits were worn.
Photobucket
We almost didn't attend, because I wasn't excited about leaving Cache and Naomi at the babysitter, but we compromised, left Cache and brought the babe. I'm So glad we went. Naomi had a good time and sported her valentine outfit.

V A L E N T I N E S

cache and i made some valentines in the form of cookies this year.
it took us the entire day and part of another to make them. is this normal? because it seemed way outta line to me for something to take this long. course, i've never been good in the kitchen anyhow.
we decided that pajamas and aprons were a good choice of outfit to bake in. so we didn't change till bedtime, into another (less flourery) set
of pajamas.
Photobucket
cache decided to taste his valentine while I was in the bathroom. i guess that's
one way to insure no one else will eat it.. well and his name. doink

{confession: i did stage naomi's flour on her face. cache rubbed some all over her face, i got upset, then realized it really wasn't hurting her, and was kinda cute, so i put some back on yes just for a cute picture.}
Photobucket
I love Naomi in this picture with her little orange.
oh man i just realized Naomi is still in her Jammies today too. someday i'll get things together.
at least they are cute christmas jammies from grandma Carla.Photobucket
we have no CLUE where cache picked up giving the peace sign.
but when i say "smile cache" he often adds that in, love it.
Photobucket
Happy Valentines day you guys!
{may you all receive lots of kisses this year}

Devin changed the playlist in honor of valentine's day. that's his contribution to the blog:)

2.10.09

I have been a little anti blog here since coming back to Missouri. I really didn't take many pictures, because I feel a bit dorky sometimes with my
big camera, and I wanted to be an attentive matron of honor.
Now I'm totally regretting it.

But anywho. I am now ready to update you on the fabulous wedding.
Photobucket
Jennifer was such a fun, happy, relaxed sweet bride. She really made the event just amazing. Even during the ceremony, she looked over at me once or twice with the biggest smile on her face. So cute. Everything that was done, she loved it, everything that happened was funny! I just love this girl.

For those of you who are only use to temple weddings, often before a ceremony they have what is called "the viewing." This is the first time the bride and the groom see one another on the wedding day.

Jennifer and Brian asked to have no cameras or anyone there for the viewing. But as you can see I caught mommy and daddy peaking.
..
Photobucket

So I thought maybe one peek myself wouldn't hurt either,, Brian was smitten..aah love :)

Another highlight for me at Jen's wedding was
getting to spend time with my
dear old friend Darla.
We go way back to the days of sunbeam class at church and
matching care bear suitcases. She is the cutest, most talented little Darla I know. Another cool fact about Darla is she earns her living by training horses. She also plays a mean little fiddle, and can yodel. NOW can you see why she is on my top ten coolest people I know list?
(i don't really have an actually list, so don't have to wonder if you are on it.)

The reception was big and beautiful. And red of course. I never made the connection of Jennifer and my love of red until this wedding. I was shopping for a bridal gift and bought her some red bowls she registered for. (Every dish she registered for was red). I was having it gift wrapped and asked for the red wrapping paper. The lady behind the counter looked at me a bit funny then said "You must be good friends." It didn't register what she meant by that until I got back to my car and put my red diaper bag down, took my red cell phone out of Naomi's hand, unloaded Naomi out of my red flowered baby sling, buckled up noticing I was wearing a red sweat shirt!
I was a bit embarrassed.

SPEECH!
I debated on putting up this next picture. Too many pictures of me. But I decided to, since someday I hope to print off my blog as a scrapbook thing or something
. And that will probably the first and last time I ever get the opportunity to give a speech like that.
i'm a dufus.

Cache took full advantage of Jennifer and Brian's amazing candy table and he even had a few failed attempts at licking the ice sculpture. Devin and I danced till the night was over, which was the best part of the whole wedding: Getting to see Devin again after 3 weeks! I forgot how good looking he was. Man alive. I also forgot how good of a dancer he is, which can be a killer combination when it comes to a ladies heart.

All of my closest friends from high school were there. They mean a lot to me, so I just was in heaven getting to see them all again, and see the good lives they are all leading. Devin's favorite part was watching the cowboys belt out karaoke too all the rap songs and know every word. He sure got a kick out of that. It was just a perfect night. I am still riding on the high from the wedding, two weeks later. Either a sign of a really good time, or a really lame girl who needs to get out more.. hmm I'll take the first.

The Fam.
*
thank you Aunt Sarah for Naomi's cute dress. It was perfect!

during my month at home, spending time with all my old friends in old places, which are all good memories, but I had a small glimpse back at my life before Devin. Memories, smells and feelings came back to me. It was a good time, an awesome time, but still a time where i knew where i wanted to go, but nothing was set in stone. Then Devin flew into town, and I was overwhelmed with thankfulness, for the path of life I decided to follow, for Devin, our children, our temple marriage, our simple life, our simple love, and our faith. i feel an inner peace that is priceless to me. It is more than worth every hard decision, feeling left out or different, everything. I am so thankful.
