Found a dollar in my pocket

I'm so SO aaaching for a St. Louis fall right now.
it doesn't quite compare here.
I'm sure this is the reason for inhaling an extraordinarily amount of candy corn this fall.
I'm trying to fill that empty place in my heart where St. Louis autumn dwelled.
The pumpkin patches, the amazing parks with horse pastures surrounding them and tree surrounded lakes and the Sunday drives in the country sides, our little coffee shop library. I miss all our walking places among the tree lined streets and brick houses.
My li'l heart hurts.

Pleasant surprise though, I was going through my many memory cards this evening looking for extra space to video on and found some old pictures!
It was like finding a dollar in my pocket.
Maybe even TEN dollars.

Last fall.
In st. Louis at our favorite Sunday park.(Brommelsiek park)
And two from graduation.
I think even more than fall I miss the people.
Every time I see pictures or think of these people I involuntarily say :"Aaaaah" usually followed by:
Love them.

This park was like our own private park. It was way out in the country. A gorgeous drive.
fields of Round hay bales
not like the square ones here...
I need to ask my dad why they don't do round ones here.
anyway...
A sweet little lake that always had two turtles on the same rock
It was surrounded by trees.
And we were always the only people at the park.
It had a paved path around it and little fishing docs.

It is soo very quiet there.

A place to be still.

And enjoy God's creations

(i love everything about this picture above of Cache.
His sticky up hair and his sticky out ears, freckles and dimples)

Some of the people we loved:

Our last day ever in St. Louis.

Naomi when she learned to fold her arms for prayers.
We thought this was the cutest thing in the world at the time.
We were have her do it even when it wasn't time to pray just for laughs.

aaah fall.
 Makes me so sentimental.

Great, now I am crying again. I too will miss fall here. Fall is my favorite time of year, but like you said I don't think it's prettier anywhere else! Those are amazing pictures. I should have had you teach me some tricks to using my camera before you left. Hope you are doing well!

thanks Kara, the only trick i know is find some perfect lighting and then take 1000 million pictures and your bound to get 1 or 2 that turn out. That' is my method, not very efficient! oh and then edit them to make it look like you know what your doing with your camera.

anyway. I know you willmiss many of these same things too! sorry to make you cry!

Glad I am not the only one that misses St. Louie. We loved taking Ellie and Hutch to Brommelsiek to play in the doggy park with a pond. We were just talking about how nice it was there. Pretty much every night before bed I try to convince Scott that we should move back.
